My 09 left turn signal won't cancel, have to turn off manually, right side works fine.
I heard this may just be a faulty switch itself
My old ones had a plastic cam in the steering colum
Anyone else had this problem or replaced the part?

I wouldn't think it would be related to the clockspring. The clockspring just maintains an electrical connection while the steering wheel turns. I would assume there would be a cancel cam that would cancel the turn signal. My first guess is the failure would be in the stalk switch mechanism.
