The Ford F-750 World Cruiser is Beyond a "Cowboy Cadillac"

It took Dunkel Industries $6 million to create the Ford F-750 World Cruiser. It's literally a house on wheels.

I think that is one awesome truck. If I had the cash, I would buy it. It would be great to cruise around the country in one of those.

If that thing cost more than say $400 000 to build they are morons. 6 million dollars. Haha what? I don't even know what to say. That's some funny chit.

The business venture cost 6 million. The Truck itself ranges between 450-650k based on options.

I just can't get excited about an overpriced RV. I can build something just as nice for a tenth of the cost. Nice truck, ....and some people with more money than brains will buy them, but I'll just build one myself. By the way, if the price tag is over $250K, it's too much.

There's one for sale around here for $350K built on a military LMTV chassis. They call it a "dooms day RV". The ironic thing is, the LMTV is such a piece of crap, it wouldn't make it a week before it was disabled if civilization collapsed. ....and the Caterpillar engine is a big reason for that. It's extremely high maintenance and only the factory can support the electronics in it. That won't do much good when there is no factory. We played hell trying to get them to stay running overseas. We wound up flying out a caterpillar rep and his equipment to flash a BUNCH of broke trucks.

I would hope their business plan is not built on selling very many of these trucks.

Appearance, practicality and cost make MANY other options currently available in the truck market much more appealing!

Truth be told ... there isn't a vehicle on the whole PLANET worth that much. Another truth to be told, there isn't a pickup on the planet worth what they're asking for just an F150 at today's totally ridiculous prices. It took me a LONG time to work up either nerve or foolishness, to buy the 99 F150 that I have. Boy... never again will I buy something new. I'd rather spend a third as much and rebuild, top to bottom, an old F100 from the 60's and early 70's.

Yup... the truck is "purdy", but at that price, I'd demand not only beautiful, but a danged chauffeur to come with it, waiting on me hand and foot.

I don't think Dunkel Industries will be in business to long if they keep investing in great ideas like this one.

Talking

I simply pitch a nice big tent on my '73 F-600 flatbed. Slide in a nice big cozy air mattress for sleeping comfort. On the remainder of the bed I throw on a BBQ grille, a couple of lawn chairs, an ice chest full of cold beer, and Woo Hoo! I'm RV'n!

That's my World Cruiser, yours may vary.
