No right turn signal at factory harness

I'm still fighting tow harness problems on my '01 F 250. I started by replacing the 7-way pig tail with a new one which didn't work. Then I undid all the butchering of the harness that was done previously. The factory harness had scotch locks all over it that were used to splice in a 6-way and a 7-way into the bed. I liquid taped all the nicks in the wires. Then I checked for power at the factory harness end where the pigtail plugs in. I have park/running lights, and one of the ports flashes for the left turn signal/flashers/stop lamps. I got rained on before I could check further up the wire. If I have no power to the wire further up is there another place to check?

Unsure if the 01 would be the same but my 03 has a group of three connectors along the frame in front of the fuel tank. The lower connector has the trailer lines running through it on the 03. Might be another place to check if the fuses are OK.

It was just a fuse. I didn't realize the trailer wiring had separate fuses. Although the previous owner put 10A fuses in. I swapped back to the 7.5A.

I probably should have started a new topic but assume this has all been covered many times before. (But I haven't been able to find a suitable answer through 'search')

Sorry, I've lost my owners manual and don't have any other manual. Where was that fuse located? In the small fuse box inside the engine compartment in front of the driver's seat?

My problem is I haven't hooked up my trailer for a couple of years and did so last week. I find I don't have turn signals at the 7-way plug, nor do I have flasher.

I assume I'm looking at relay problems but I find it strange that BOTH would be out at the same time.

I assume that my truck did not come with a factory tow kit since it has the puny mirrors. The trailer wiring was installed by the company I bought the trailer from.

I'm guessing they put the relays in and may use some cheapo 3rd party relays but, as you can tell my reading this: What Do I Know?

Any help would be appreciated. Is there a FAQ on trailer light problems?

Thanks much!!

Those fuses are in the box in the engine compartment. The front of the box, passenger side. It's the first two if I remember correctly. One is left side turn signals the other is right side

I just can't see a fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment. I can see this fuse box on the driver side in the engine compartment.

I guess it's the relays. I don't know about the fuse.

What am I missing here (besides the fuse box on the passenger side)

No, I must have been unclear. The fuse box is on the driver's side, by the master cylinder. I was giving you the location of the fuses in the box. They are in the front passenger side of the box. Left front corner if you are facing the truck. There are mini fuses and maxi fuses and relays in that box.

Pardon my slow pick up here (no pun!) Here's a photo of the fuse panel I have by my brake cylinder. I only see one fuse in there. Are those two forward spaces supposed to have fuses in them? Thanks!!

Mine is a bit different. I have a small panel holding my trailer relays and a much larger panel that the trailer fuses are in

Are you referring to the panel in the cab or yet another fuse panel in the engine compartment?

Thanks for your response

you can download a copy of the owners manual here:
Owner Manuals | fleet.ford.com

That should help.

There are my fuse blocks/panels. My finger is pointing to the empty space that a 7.5 amp fuse should fill. What year is your truck? It appears to be different than mine. You could use a test light to see if it's the signals.

Just don't see this in my engine compartment.

Would love to find this supplement to the owner's manual for a 2004:

" 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Direct Injection Turbo Diesel
Owner’s Guide Supplement for diesel engine component locations."

What year is your F250? I'd sure like to find a box full of fuses like that!!
