Since Ziebart's are independently owned, I have seen quite a variation in their work. The one I've been going to is now the only one that hasn't closed in the area. The touchup each year cost me $70 and the powerwash the underside of my truck before hand.... I can't really complain. They did do a nice job applying mine the first time and then the oil over top has helped a ton.

My coworker knows a guy who had almost the whole body of his 2004 Super Duty replaced thanks to their rust proof warranty.

The Ziebart thing is good up until the point where they spray on the black tar. Its 60s technology! If they would just use the same sheet they put inside the panels on the undercarriage it would be much better. I agree it traps in the crap. After the krown process has a chance to dry out I get in behind the rear wheel wells and soak the lovely sponge material some rocket scientist decided was a good idea with LPS#2 for added measure.

Well stated about Ziebart or anyone else's rustproofing. Tar bad/grease good. Use a pump oil can and shoot ATF into the doors, and close them on a sheet of newspaper.

A Texaco in Michigan applied this stuff when I was a kid. It's very long lasting and never dries.
