Vibration after clutch change

Hey guys,

I've got a 95 F-150 with a 302 and M5OD and 180k. I changed the clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, and pilot bearing because the clutch was slipping. Now when it's running it shakes a little. Some at idle, the worst around 1100 RPM, and then it stops shaking at higher RPMS. It will shake clutch in or out and driving or still. I'm not sure what it could be, I was really careful torquing down the flywheel with loctite. Also, when I start the engine it turns over a couple times normally, and then when the engine starts to go it makes a grinding noise, but the engine starts.. I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I can do to check it short of dropping the transmission again. Here are my guesses at what it could be:

- Put on the wrong flywheel (I checked the part online and the websites say it's the right one.

- Put in pilot bearing crooked (but I'd figure it would go away when i pressed in the clutch)

- Motor mounts (changed them a couple years ago but maybe the stress of the back of the engine not being supported messed them up)

- Harmonic Balencer (maybe somehow it is worn down and got used to the old flywheel, but I'd figure a new flywheel wouldn't really change it.

Let me know what you guys think it could be. Thanks for all your help

Can you put a link to the parts you bought

How bad is the shake

Did you use all identical bolts putting it together if you put a different bolt on it could cause an imbalance

I have a motor swap that has a different balance maybe yours does to

I think it will be the flywheel that's the problem; partly because the earlier 302's had a 28oz inbalance which was changed to 50oz in 1981.....this gives the possibility for a wrong part to have been supplied; then also the starter noise beginning with the installation of the new flywheel.

Balancers do slip & mounts deteriorate, but didn't the vibration started immediately that you installed the various new parts?

So I took a look at it today through the dust cover on the transmission with the engine running, and you can definitely see the flywheel shaking. I'm pretty sure that's what the problem is, but I don't know what I could've done wrong. It seemed like there was only one orientation the flywheel would go on where all the bolts were lined up. There were spots for dowel pins on the pressure plate side of the flywheel but there weren't any on the old flywheel or pressure plate. Could I have installed anything at the wrong angle?

The flywheel model number was LFW 161. Here's a link to it
Amazon.com: LuK LFW161 Flywheel: Automotive Amazon.com: LuK LFW161 Flywheel: Automotive

The clutch kit was from NAPA and I'm not sure what the model number was, but it looks the same as the old one.

Any ideas?

The shaking is not that bad, just the steering wheel and seats a little. I was wondering, should I have used new flywheel bolts?

Might be warped. If not, something is loose or in a bind. It will eventually shake something apart somewhere.
