Agreed, the $38 thermostat I got at Ford's was a waste of money, didn't last a day. At least that's what I'm hoping was, is the problem. I ran it 150 miles yesterday and it seemed like the temp gauge was stuck on the N, never moved.

Think your good to go Glenn. The "N" on mine correlates to about 170 - 175 degrees, which makes sense. Thermostats start to open before their rated value and should be fully open at their rated value. To me this means the cooling system is performing great.

Jim, do you have, or know where the chart is for what letters are to temperature on the gauge? I was thinking of that, but didn't even know where to look.

Found it, took awhile ...

It's EOT vs the gauge however they are relatively close to each other.

Glad to hear Glenn. Mine will be here on Friday. I wasted about 10$ on the FORD one. Sure hope it does the trick for you.

Work changed and I have a big load to haul a week from Friday... So I sure hope it does the trick!

Jim, the last part of the chart should be with the letter "A" instead of "R" right?

EOT ~ 140* - EC gauge @ first line / of "N O R M A L"
EOT ~ 170* - EC gauge @ 'N' in "N O R M A L"
EOT ~ 175* - EC gauge @ 'O' in "N O R M A L"
EOT ~ 185* - EC gauge @ 'R' in "N O R M A L"
EOT ~ 190* - EC gauge @ 'M' in "N O R M A L"
EOT ~ 200* - EC gauge @ 'R' in "N O R M A L'

BTW I spent several hours looking for that thread and nothing . I also tried to rep but Im in jail

Hi Jose, no the last is 'R', the thermostat opened fully and cooled down the EOT, surprised me too.
