Help Needed Identifying Two Trucks

A family business, celebrating its 100th year this year, still owns a 1961 F-350 purchased new in 1961. And I've spent the last two years on the '61-'66 forum as I worked through the preservation and restoration of that truck.

But I'd like to positively identify the '61's two predecessor trucks (sadly long gone), shown together in this ca. 1957 photo. My guesses are:

1. 1949 F-400 Flatbed (with a custom wood body built on the bed)
2. 1953 F-350 Flareside

Given the grainy photo, can you please help me identify these trucks?

Thanks and regards,

Steve

The 48-50 truck appears to be an F-5 or F-6 to me.

The '53 looks like an F250. 8 lug wheels, 8' box.

I agree with Scott about the first one. The wheelbase is too long for an F4, but I can't read the badge on the side, so don't know if it's an F5 or F6.

Found a print of the same photo with better resolution: badge says F-5. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Regards,

Steve

Looks like it had turn signals mounted low on the front of the fender rather than on top of the fender, as was the normal mounting position for that option.
