Torque app adapter issues

So I was playing with the torque pro app and it was working fine.
But now when I turn the truck off and get out the radio stays on like the door was not opened.
I was worried for a second but as soon as I unplugged the adapter the door open light came on at the radio turned off.

I thought this was weird and figured I would share it??
I will see if I can get it to do the same thing tomorrow.

IIRC mine is the ELM327
Supposed to be one of the better ones.
I'll have to see if I can figure out what it was doing.

They can talk both ways, and many of them come with s/w you want to trash before it gets into your computer (PC, I'm talking). I had one bad (didn't comm. reliably) and then one that hasn't had a hitch in several years -- same vendor off eBay and two of the same cheap China units.

But a bug in one could do any number of things -- I'd leave that one unplugged until I got a replacement...

I unplug mine when I park the vehicle for more than a few minutes. If I leave it plugged in then it fails to connect the next time I turn on my tablet so I have to unplug it and plug it back in each time anyway.

When I first got the torque app years ago I was in playing around and it gave me a no start condition and the dash was unresponsive. I had to disconnect the batteries to reset it and it ran fine since. Talk about a scare. I didn't blame the adapter but the app itself.
