I just finished my truck a couple weeks ago. I think the front bumper looks awesome! It definitely helps that my truck is all black from the middle body line down (bed liner sprayed on including front and rear bumpers)...I think this hides the gaps to a certain degree.
I'll try and get some more pics...these are the only ones I have on my at the moment.
I wonder what is in the 'kit'? I didn't need anything to bolt it up...I am not using the side brackets at the moment but they will fit as well with minimal modification.
Just picked up a 2012 bumper to do this conversion. Anyone have any more info on it? Does it bolt right up or is there modification necessary to the brackets? My plan would be to weld some new pieces in to better fill the 'under headlight' gap...but that will only be done once the bumper is fitted correctly.
Thanks!
The bumper will bolt up along the frame by the tow hooks, but you're unable to use the side mounting brackets. I believe it's only 4 bolts that really holds it in place. And I'm 85% sure you can still use the tow hooks, but you have to get creative to get them back in.
