Bosch scanner

Just basic code scanning. It won't show manufacturers specific codes. I think you'll be disappointed. The 1050 is a phone based device and is CAN compliant (Controller Area Network) and has graphing capabilities you can use to monitor individual sensors, an important feature. Skip the 1100 it's also limited in what it can display (no graphing). The 1150 and up in the Bosch line up will work well on your truck.
Here is a handy Bosch website with comparisons (no prices) I found the 1000 on Amazon for $16, its important to shop, prices vary widely. http://www.boschdiagnostics.com/diy/...ool-comparison
Check out this thread for some info on what's available: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...eral-info.html

It is kinda funny. A couple of weeks ago I was on Rotundas site checking on the latest IDS and Bosch has supposedly bought Rotunda. Went to the Bosch site and they show a picture of a Green VCM looking module. So I guess they will be selling the VCM and IDS in the future. It is still about 3 grand tho.
