A/C Question low high side
#16
Didn't put my digital thermometer in just round vent gauge, but it was right around 47. The real test will be if the system does not shut down intermittently while driving. Problem is I will not be driving it much, I located my clunk I have been chasing=====Lower Ball Joint. When we looked for it 2 weeks ago everything seemed tight, even took load off front end at the time tires were bad. Put tires on it, still felt it. At the time it was only something I could feel at my feet while driving, now its a real clunk, now the wheel can be moved. Glad it gave out now pulling fifth wheeler to New Orleans then Florida in a couple of weeks. Of course not happy but well it is giving me the opportunity to upgrade brakes, rebuild ESOF and put in all new ball joints.

45-52 is about what my 02 gets in the center vent, with 150-175 on the high side.
i know i am a little low on refrigerant, but not low enough to have clutch cycling yet.
but seeing it is 13 years old and has 190k miles on it, i figure the compressor is on it's last legs and will be failing soon so i am not adding anything to it nuntil i replace the compressor and clean out the system.
