Impeccable 51 F1 in my town
I found this beautiful 1951 Meadow Green F1 at a car dealer near me called Miller Brothers of Mill Hall, PA. The brothers' father runs an auto auction and every summer he has a classic and antique car auction. It is July 16, 17, 18 this year. I always go just to look. If you are near central PA it is worth the drive. It is just off Exit 178 of Interstate 80 in Central PA. Here is his website address: Annual Antique & Classic Auction | Central Pennsylvania Auto Auction
And now here are the pics:
bed painted body color as was original from factory.
stock jack with wing nut!<br/>
I am sure this truck will be up for sale at the July auction....

I am not an expert on 51-52 trucks but I found two things that are exactly right:
Shouldn't the taillight holder be on the other side of the stake pocket?
Why would someone go to all the trouble and expense of this stock restoration and then buy chrome parking light doors instead of painted Sungate Ivory?
Question: were the tailgate chains originally painted like above or were they galvanized steel like the 53-56 trucks?

Did you notice the puddle of water on the mat? We had some heavy rain last night so I guess the windshield has a leak. If I had more time I would have gone inside and told them to get this beauty inside!

Again, I am not a 51-52 expert but I think the red was the only option for the bolster and the seat front. In 54 the seats had a herringbone woven vinyl with the same color red bolster. In 55 Ford had two colors for the seat depending on the body color. I think it was a choice of green or red.

I was under the impression that the '51 5 Star Extra grille was painted argent instead of ivory. That's why I painted mine argent.
The taillight bracket placement is incorrect.
The red trimmed seats are correct for the 5 Star Extra afaik.
That is a beautiful restoration. I'd also like to see under the hood, but I wouldn't care what's under there. It's just gorgeous.

The offset in the taillight bracket is different than the ones I've seen, which are just flat.
Wouldn't you just die to open the hood and see a SBC and automatic in it??
