I have an 07 F550 truck has been running fine. Pulled it in to do a service. All new filters, oil fuel and air. I started the truck up it ran for about 5 seconds and it shut down. The wrench light came on then it displays the oil light right after. I double checked all my fluids. I even pulled the new filter out to check the o-ring and it's fine. Any clues to what could be my problem. This truck just had an engine swap this is it's first service.

 

Borrow a scan tool and look for codes. Let the truck tell you what is wrong.

 

I did scan the truck with a snap on solcest and nothing. No codes at all. The check eng light never came on. Just the wrench and light. I ran through the data display menu as well and everything seems normal.

 

Did you drain the water separator? I assume you did cuz you said you changed fuel and oil filters. I assume you bled your fuel system before starting engine. Correct? Reset air filter sensor? I gotta believe its something you touched.

 

Did you cycle the key 6 times for 30 seconds before starting it? After changing fuel filters you need to prime the system to get the air out. Sounds like the truck started, detected air in the system (or low fuel pressure) which triggered the wrench light and then when it stalled you got the oil light because there is no oil pressure when the engine isnt running.

 

Just to be clear you said it's an 07. If it's an 07 it's a 6.0, not a 6.4.
