Stays open all the time. I'm guessing there is a spring somewhere that closes it. Is there a parts breakdown I can look at? I've looked around some but haven't found anything that looks related to this.

Looking at your pic it seems the door is broke on the same side as mine. Different spot though, you might try a JY to source the spring. Or it could be just disconnected somehow back in there. I usually have mine open all the time anyways due to my charger. You might have to pop the center trim panel off to see back in there. Good luck.
