When you’re researching suspension upgrades you can read an FTE Moderator’s evaluation of StableLoad here:

Hope this helps with your search!

Fog lights - apparently FoMoCo has not yet stocked a fog light that will mount in the standard fog light locations for my 2015 XL so my guy at Trick Trucks are going to mount mine in the center of the bumper like I had on my 2001.

New Fogs...

Mud guards

Bed new tire covers and box

Fog lights are in. Mud flaps from Weathertech on the truck and bug deflector mounted now too. Toolbox in and line-x in as I mentioned.

Next we go back inside for updated electronics and a rear view camera etc. Details to follow

Also, I just hooked up the trailer today for a test drive to test hitch height and see how it felt...wow...so much better than my 2001!!!

Welcome to FTE! Good looking mods so far....I actually like the bug deflector on the XL. Looks good with the Black/White color scheme.

Looks nice! I agree the bug deflector looks very good on your truck. I took my front license plate bracket off.

I can't take off the plate unfortunately...we have to have them in our state. More mods to come soon. Going inside next.

If I didn't say so I also had a Tekonsha P3 brake controller and I tested that out too. Pretty impressed with the short test I did with it after mounting the trailer...

So I hooked up the trailer for the first move and I got almost all the way to the client's home and we turned off the move due to possible severe weather.

Anyway, having the empty trailer behind me on the road was easy. It is such a good thing mentally to have a new truck under you when you are running a business transporting exotic cars.

Will let you know how it goes when we complete the transport. Gas mileage wasn't any better than my 2001, but considering it has about 90 more HP and another 50lb-ft of torque I am not complaining.

So the short version is it was fantastic. Fuel mileage not much better than my 2001...I think I averaged 9.5 while fully loaded trailer, and I was getting about 8.5 before, but the pull was SO much easier it wasn't even funny.
I think part of it is the confidence I have now with this truck. That is a big part of the gain - mentally. Also no squat to speak of. Will try to get a picture next time around and post it...

I was transporting a 60's Maserati Ghibli in the trailer so a pretty heavy car compared to most. No problems whatsoever.

I thought you find it a great experience to tow. I am still amazed every time I tow the toyhauler. My truck makes towing my toyhauler fun. I averaged 9.7 mpg from Florida to Ontario.

Caddy, Your doing what I did several years ago. It is a great plan. I wound up with 4 years active and 22 reserve. Was HYT out.
