Anyone done 390 heads on a 352?

I was reading in my "How to Rebuild Big Block Fords" by Steve Christ about chamfering the top of the cylinder bore for valve clearance. He was stating that this could be done a 4.00" bore to clear bigger valves. Has anyone done this on their 352? Was thinking this may be a "budget option" to get a better head on the 352 without boring and swapping to a 390. I'm still new to the BB FE, I have a 1967 F100 with a 352 that likely needs a rebuild. Just looking at options.

Unless the cylinder head has CJ size(2.09 intake, 1.65 exhaust) valves there is no need to notch. Actually I don't think you need to notch for those, only the 427 really big valves. Most 390 heads are the same dimension as the 352 valve wise, ports vary some.

This is my fault. I should have stated I was looking at aftermarket FE heads I.E Edelbrock which has 2.09 intake, 1.66 exhaust.

Well, a .030 over 352 bore is only .020 less than a stock 390, I must admit I am not sure of the fit.

If I could I'd rename the title of this thread "CJ heads on a 352?" haha. The book says it can be done just wondering if anyone has actually done it.
