Why the F250 6.2? Help me decide.

Here is my opinion which is different from most, I used to Repossess cars, and one of my best friends still does. I have driven a lot of cars and trucks from all manufacturers. That said, many many many of the vehicles we Repo'd were not well maintained, be it brakes, oil changes, cleaning and so on. I have been in some real pieces, but of all of them, even being poorly maintained, it seemed like the Fords were in the best shape, with the exception of foreign makers Toyota, Honda.... of all of them, when not taken care of, the Dodge/Chrysler lines were absolute pieces of crap. Now granted when you take care of a vehicle, any vehicle can last a long time. Im not saying Dodge is junk, I was looking at them myself before I got my F250 SD. But when you look at the other end of the spectrum, call it, the beat and abuse it factor, it seems to me the Fords take more abuse before they fall apart; and I don't mean mechanically either, ive seen more interior pieces broken on the mopar line than any other make, worn out tie rods, bearings you name it.
I think that is kinda what a lot of guys feel when they say the dodge feels like its built cheaper, they just kinda are IMO. Even though I still like em lol
Currently im a cop and its still the same thing, the chargers fall apart cosmetically and mechanically compared to the crown vics that have more miles and hours on them. But I will say a fresh Hemi charger will run a crown vic into the ground.

This isn't a gas vs diesel. I switched from my old diesel to gas for many reasons. I also found that I like the look and the heavier truck compared to the f150. . The other was the 150 wasn't any cheaper to buy for me. I went with gas as mpg is about 2 gal different, .85 to a buck cheaper ,no def and emissions. Has more than enough power for my gooseneck horse trailer, and cheaper to service. What ever you buy enjoy it.

I test drove both a 2011 6.7 SCSB and a 6.2 CCSB...The 6.7 was a beast but all that emmission crap with the diesel scared me....I fight with all that stuff in a Kenworth T660 for more miles a week than I dare post on an open forum...Not saying the Ford has the same problems as the ISX Cummins in the K-Whopper at all, but the potential is there...The 6.2 IMO is way better than the 5.4's I've owned in the past..
Previous three trucks were all F150's w/5.4L and the 5.4L will more than tow anything I hook too, but....
I wanted a Super Duty..

Interior Woes
So last night I stopped at a Ford lot and found two SD's open so I helped myself to look around inside. Not real impressed with the interiors. I realize these are work trucks but the interiors look cheap compared to Ram and especially GM.
The storage in the doors are really narrow, much more narrow than my F150. Doesn't appear I could fit any type of beverage or bottle in there like I do now. Glove box is tiny and the center console storage is less than half the size of what I have now. The lower center storage area is about the same.
The rear storage under the seats; not sure I like it either. Mine is an open space now, which is nice because I can push stuff under there, out of the way of my kids feet. Car seats wouldn't allow me to easily flip the seats up to have things out of the way. Also, I can lift my seats up and have a huge area to store stuff. With the storage bins, there isn't much of a flat area. Not sure why the seats fold forward? Area behind there maybe?
I'm being picky of course but enjoy what I have now.
There stereo seems cheap too. Anyone upgrade this to a nicer unit? I have the cheap looking stereo in my F150 also.
Love these trucks but set back a bit by the interior.

Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum are pretty nice IMO..
I went from a 2004 XLT to a 2011 Lariat and couldn't be happier...Too each his own though.
