I just picked up a 2015 F250 CCSB 4x4 XL trim 6.2L. I have an intake whistle at light to medium throttle, at all speeds. It's intermittent but consistent either hot or cold. Anyone else notice theirs making a whistle? My rig is all stock with no performance mods and 500 miles on her.
I have a slight whistle around 1800 RPM. From what I've read, normal. The whistle may be at all times, but at higher RPMs, the sound of the motor may overpower the whistling and I don't notice it. 6.2 is a big motor. My off road buggy has a 1.3L motor and I used to have the intake plumbed into the cab. That little thing screamed all day long. I got tired of it and moved the intake outside.
Mine did it slightly from stock, only noticeable around 2k rpm. Then, the whistle got louder when I added a cold air intake. I put in a throttle body spacer to get rid of the whistle sound, and it did. I do not buy into the TB spacer thing for horsepower, but in my case, it served its purpose in eliminating the whistle

I have the same thing, lariat trim, and it whistles at 1600-1700 rpm all the time. I brought to dealership twice and they couldn't hear it until this last time. I asked to test drive another gas f-250 and it did the same thing. I'm so annoyed that my 55k truck whistles, to the point I'm looking at Rams, but a diesel this time.

It helps if you complained to your dealer service department and have them diagnose it. Then ask your service manager for the Ford Motor Company Service Concern (complaint) phone number and call. I did and was contacted by the regional engineer who informed me that "engineering is aware of the issue and their looking for a resolution". The more complaints the better. We'll see where it goes.
I have not seen a 6.2 in a Superduty that does not have the whistle. Although I have not seen or heard any complains with the 6.2L in the F150's Hmmm? Anyone know?
I haven't heard any whistle on mine yet, I've only driven roughly 1000 miles though. Stock airbox but SCT canned tunes and modified exhaust. 2011 f350 CC LB lariat with 125,000miles on it.
Brand new 2015 F250 6.2l and it has whistled since I drove it off the lot. Only hear it when the windows are down at lower RPM and accelerating. I don't mind. Makes me feel like I've got a turbo hiding under the hood lol.
I find it hard to believe some people don't have the whistle. I drove three trucks before I purchased and they all did it. It's not very loud but its there. Why does it matter?
