Shorter Radio Antenna?

If it me I would just cut the stock one to the length needed to clear the door.

The F-150 is one of the very last Fords to use a conventional mast antenna; the Super-Duty and Transit have them, but the bases are totally different. Your only other option is to look at older Fords that used the same setup (threaded rod attached to a 10mm nut), and measure to see if any of those are shorter than yours. These antennas should still be available through Ford parts.

Does anyone know of a replacement radio antenna mast that is shorter than the factory unit?
My antenna hits the garage door on the way in/out (common problem, here's the Ford dealer "fixum" that was used beginning in 1973) and since I rarely use either AM or FM I'd be happy with reduced reception.

AC2Z-18813-B (replaced D5UZ-18A886-A) .. Antenna Mast - 1975/94 Econoline ~ Available from Ford.
Or get it from a junkyard.

Thanks, Bill (old man). I found it in the catalog. Apparently the E version is shorter than the F version? That's a shame as I have an extra F. Anyway, I found it in the 80-89 catalog, shown below. So, thanks for the corrections and updates.

I told him he's a nice kid and SWMBO likes him, but I didn't mention this moniker that members of the SoCal Chapter & 1973/79 forums bestowed upon him.

You are well ahead of us. Our AK cruise was RC but shorter than yours. And we took a 10 day cruise from Athens clockwise around the Med, inc Rhodes, Israel, Egypt, Ephesus, and Istanbul. In Sept we are doing a river cruise down the Rhine from Nuremburg to Budapest.
As for the antenna, the local dealership doesn't have either of the ones you listed. Turns out the 2015 mast is 32" and I need one that is 29" max. The 80-86 pickup masts are ~31", so I'll check the salvage for one from a van. Thanks.

SWMBO & family members have also taken an Australia/New Zealand cruise and a Tyrrhenian & Adriatic Seas cruise R/T from Rome.
Due to health reasons, I have to make at least one overnight stop when flying this far, so I passed on both these cruises.
It would have been very expensive because on flights longer than 3 hours, I fly business or first class.
