For the code, I do not feel it harmful driving the truck.
Since it is a shift error, your not upshifting until you come to a stop.
The issue could be the TPS with a bad spot. You would check that out with an ohm meter off idle to about half way open for a rough or unstable resistance indication.
The TSP has a lot to do with up shifting points vs RPM and road speed.
