Aftermarket Exhaust for a 2012 5.0
Hey all,
My dad just bought a 2012 regular cab with the 5.0 engine. He would like a better sounding exhaust and he wants something that will have 2 tailpipes exiting, true dual exhaust is not necessary.
Any suggestions? He wants nice sound but he doesn't want loud droning on the highway.

Borla S Type is what I've got on there now. Had the Roush drone factory, along with a few different mods to it. Never satisfied. The Borla has nice gurgle to it at steady throttle, ZERO drone, and really wakes up when you want to hear it. Being a "packed" muffler, it will get a bit louder, read that better, as it more or less breaks in. Not cheap, $1000 +/-, but well worth it. Nice stainless tips, and all 304 stainless. It ain't gonna rust in my lifetime.

sorta hard to say listening on my 'puter. Seems to sound more like the ATAK. I suspect those clips are new installations, and the muffler isn't burned in yet. It will get more sound the older it is, but nothing obnoxious. One thing for sure, after putting mine on, there is still zero drone. Right now, I have my engine set on 91 octane performance tune, [SCTX4 with 5*], and I really like it a lot.
