Call me paranoid, but after reading all the broken plug stories, just thought I would check.
2010 with 5.4L. will be changing with MC plugs and new MC boots.
In theory, I should be able to change them without worry of them breaking off, right?
Was planning to do this in a few months, but while test driving after changing tranny fluid/filter today, threw a P0300 under heavy acceleration, so guess I am moving this job up.

I have done them on my 08 5.4 twice and they are not that bad, just make sure you take some air and blow out the trash around the plug area before you pull them or it will fall into the cylinder. I also put anti-seize on the threads and clear grease on the boots. I have not replaced any of the boots or cp's yet and have had no issues.

Also with what everyone else said don't go 50,000 miles before you change them. Spark plugs are cheap and I change mine every 30,000 miles. Carbon will build up on the threads and when you take them out the carbon will damage the threads. I also don't tighten them to much. Just make sure they are snug so they seal no need to go crazy with how tight you get them.
