New house, new bed

All our best to you and Michelle, Bob. Good that you're out of the dairy operation, good that it will be passed on to the boy and his new wife, good that you'll have new space for your "junk", and good that she will have her animals. That formula works well for the McMillans. But I have to expect it's somewhat of a shock having to move out and turn the homestead over to the next generation. Unless you've known this was coming and have had time to get used to it. You've told us that you're oldest was destined to take over the farm, so I guess it makes total sense. Stu

Nope, won't miss this
Or spending the last two days fixing broken down farm machinery, especially today. On break down after another in the rain, all day.
If we get the place we're trying for it going to a very small operation with very limited equipment. The biggest repairs will be on old Ford trucks (see, I brought it back to Ford trucks)

I don't know Bob, I still think its some kind of trap. I know if my ol' lady came to me saying she wanted to remodel the bedroom with an old truck as the main piece I would have to look around to see if Rod Serling was standing just in the shadows. It would have to be an episode of Twilight Zone.
Be careful

Now for some details and pictures.
Chelle and I closed on an eleven acre farmette this last Tuesday. The house is newer than our current house which was built in the 1850s by Chelle's great grandparent. The "new" house was built in the 1880s. There's a barn for Chelle and plenty of room for my vehicles and a nice shop.

Stu fortunately most will be pens for the animals and the rest will be tree filled and left wild.
We actually found the place by accident. We were out looking at houses we found on the net and I was going to go straight and Chelle told me to turn left. We found this place about a half mile from that intersection. It really is everything we were looking for. The seller was a great guy and helped us secure the loan.

There a total of six indoor parking spaces. The shop is going to the of my business. We went into buying this play with the full intent of making it a working, and hopefully, money making place. With combined income from the animal business and my business it should offset the cost.
No Truckfest is planned for the near future but maybe in '17. We have a wedding in September of '16 to take care of.
The little ponds behind the house are in a little disrepair from the house not being inhabited in a while but Chelle is anxious to start getting them back in order.
And yes, the driveway is cement, about 300 feet in one direction and about 100 feet in the other. The lot is on a corner with a L shaped driveway. I'm afraid to park the F-2 on it because it likes to leave its mark.
