Thanks Bill for the part numbers. I just now caught up to this thread. Been behind for days.
Dwil, if you want me to I'll run Bill's numbers on the locators. Let me know. But D.C has the kit also. $59.95 and it includes bolts, nuts, and washers. Part number C4TZ8125S. www.dennis-carpenter.com.

The radiator support bushings/bolts on my 74 F-100 are completely corroded and unusable...I just got in an order from C&G Early Ford Parts which appears identical to the DC product pictured above (the bushings are rubber), and which was also referenced as "C4TZ8125S"...However, this is NOT the same assembly as the originals, which I have removed...the originals consists of bushings which are "stepped" and extend through enlarged frame and core support holes using die-formed bushing holders, with a number of spacing shims present (much like the Ford illustration above), while this kit consists of flat bushings with no provision for spacing within the frame and support, and no shims...
I would suppose that with adequate bolt torque there possibly wouldn't be any lateral movement within the enlarged frame and support holes to worry about...But these are definitely not the same as the originals, either in appearance or fitment, so I'm confused as to the application of a Ford engineering designation (C4TZ8125S)...The supplier tells me they've never heard a comment like mine about the fitment...Are original-style pieces available, or is it just the best practicality to install a kit like the above, which seems like some sort of a basic "universal"?

I just wish they would have created a "How To" so we would know what they were thinking.

Carpenter is also infamous for "making up" phony baloney Ford part numbers.

OK....I still have a little confusion about installing these, though, and there are no instructions provided....With 2 bushings per side, I presume they "sandwich" the frame rail, and then the core support will sit atop the upper bushing- there isn't enough space for a bushing or large bushing-size washer to sandwich the core support from above, as the support's lower channel is too narrow....
Thus in using this kit, (per side) from bottom I would have a smaller washer (to spread load against large washer) then large (bushing-size) washer, then a bushing, then the frame rail, then the other bushing, then the core support, and finally the other smaller washer, with the spacer passing through both bushings and the frame rail, and the bolt through all...this would leave one of the large bushing-size washers unused....
or would this leftover washer properly go somewhere between the frame rail and the support, such as below or above the upper bushing? It wouldn't seem correct, though, as presumably you would want both the frame and the support to directly contact the bushings...I don't think you would want to put a washer directly above or below the upper bushing....But I haven't done one of these....
Also there would be a support height difference, one way or the other...Based on my research for the part, Ford put out differing parts thicknesses based on model/year, and as I had mentioned, there were originally a number of shim washers on mine....I guess it's "put it together and see"....
Thanks for the assist
Edit- looks like from that drawing that maybe I DO want to put that last large washer on top of the upper bushing, in between the bushing and the support (where it shows the 3 shim washers going)....forum clarification is noted, I was really just recognizing a good existing thread rather than starting a new one
