I know that we have quite a few members that live in the center of the country which has just gotten pounded with tornadoes and massive rainfall...just wondering about their safety. Okiedokie and others please check in and let us know how you are doing. Not sure how we can help but if there is a way then let us know...

 

Me and mine are fine! some minor flooding damage within a mile of my house, but I'm on relatively high ground. I got a late getaway from the office last night (downtown OkC) and wound up waiting and watching until about 930p. Didnt want to get caught out in something unpredictable. My dad has a retail business a few blocks from the office, so we wound up waiting things out there.

Mom and Dad fared well, but the two neighbors immediately west (these are all approx 2-1/2 acre properties) had significant roof damage from trees being deposited onto their houses.

If you heard about the Tiger Safari zoo in Tuttle, OK where they had animal enclosure damage and animals on the loose, that was about 3/4 mile from where I moved from back in the summer of '13. Their original location is 3 doors from my mom and dad. (We grew up in the days when you could pose for photos with the big cats with no cage, divider, go in and help water, etc...) The ex wife and youngest daughter still live there and they still have some large cats and other animals there, but that area was slightly less affected.

a friend in the Bridge Creek area had extensive damage - I'm on call to come help clean up trees and mend fences/roofs when they get poised to do so...
