It was a 78 f150 4x4 with a 4spd I think. Said the mustang headers dropped in no problem.
I was looking at them online, and looking at my truck, and I'm pretty sure they will. I'll buy them and see. If they do great! If not and they aren't even close, I can return them and get my money back.

Just because those fit a 400 application doesn't mean those will fit a 351C app. The 400 raises the header flange up ~3/4" and out ~3/4". This puts the header closer to the floor pan and on the truck it will raise the primaries up and away from the frame. With a 351C, the primaries will be lower and closer to the block so these may hit the frame. Try to pick up a set of used/trashed headers from Craigs list or a swap meet, then you won't be out of a bunch of cash should those not fit.

1 3/4 headers headmen headers
NO, the headers clear the oil pan plenty, that is shown in the pictures. The headers hang only about a 1/2 lower,(A squared plus B squared equals C squared). The deck on the block is 1 inch lower, at a angle. And if a 1/2 to 3/4 lower header doesn't fit, neither will the proper header, when you hit a speed bump! NOW, will they avoid all the other stuff? I would wager money they would.

I measured the 72 mach1 and the 78 f150 ranger. The mach1 was about 25 inches between the frame rails and 27 for the truck frame rails. So you have a extra inch on each side over the mustang. Yes the mach came with a 351C and the f150 came with a 400. (measured behind motor mounts where the headers go)
