About two months ago I bought a new ford truck, a '95 F250 with the 4.9L I6. The heater core went on me, so I replaced it, both heater hoses, and the upper and lower radiator hoses. I had some air stuck in the system for a while, but I thought it'd come out. My coolant reservoir is constantly empty after I fill it to the top, but I recently noticed that there's coolant dripping from around my water pump. I'm wondering if maybe my water pump has gone bad? Anyone else have an experience like this?

 

Sounds like a leaky pump to me…

 

So I'm assuming I need to replace the pump. Anything else I should be replacing when I do that?

 

Probably the thermostat while the coolant is drained.

 

Couldn't hurt to flush the whole system with a high quality flush.
