WIDE 16" Tame Treaded Tire Help / Info

These tires appear to be about a 16/36 MT Baja Claw tire.
Can anybody verify that ??
*Borrowed Innernet Pic *

MT no longer makes a size close to this :-((
They do make a 375/65-16 MTZ which is MUCH narrower.

Does anybody kno of a TAME Treaded tire this wide & NOT over 37"
Tall ??
I Know Super Swamper Boggers makes a 16/35-16 but I'm OUT on Rough Treads.

Indeed they are. They look bad, ride bad, are bad for steering components and really only make you look dumb... So indeed, they are bad in just about every way.

If you want that look, just look for a VERY negative offset for a 10-12" rim and then stretch the crap out it a 305/70/16 on it

Well in that case, my opinion is that's the dumbest crap I've seen on the internet today.

If no tire mfg makes a tire in that size, maybe it's the tire mfg's way of saying it's stupid and not to do it.

Wow. You average about 2 posts a year and you take the time to say that. Nice.

I Know Super Swamper Boggers makes a 16/35-16 but I'm OUT on Rough Treads.

Those tires appear to be exactly what you think 36x16 Baja Claw. However they are mounted on 15 or 16 inch wide wheels. People mount them on 10 to 12 inch rims normally. The 375/65-16 MTZ's appear "MUCH narrower" because of the rim width. In fact they are only slightly narrower. Mount any tire on a over-sized width rim and the tires will appear much wider. Look at the sidewalls on those tires, they are stretched further out than the actual tread width. If you like it, it can be accomplished by doing the same thing.

I have the 375/65-16 MTZ's on my truck, a friend had the Baja 36x16's. The difference in the tread width was about a 1/2 inch. My tires appeared wider because I have 12 inch wide rims and his were mounted on 10 inch. His sidewalls were sucked in, tread wore out in the middle, and overall it gave a narrower appearance. However, I would never run that wheel tire combo on a truck I was using. Rims look to have 0-2 inch offset for 15 or 16 inches of rim. To hard on the truck IMO. BUT if you like it then by all means run them. Just be prepared for added expenses.

Not especially. But you've been a member here for about 12 years before your 25th post which adds absolutely nothing to the conversation. All it does is insult someone else's taste immediately after he's said "hey, don't just make stupid posts to insult my taste."
