I've just bought a 2015 F350 Diesel. I'm looking through the user manual and the diesel supplement and it's very high level on some of the user maintained procedures.

For example:
- Oil changes
- Draining the Diesel fuel water separator
- Changing the two fuel filters
- Checking fluid levels and changing other fluids
etc etc

Looking under the hood of this beast I wouldn't dare do anything complex.. it's really scary.. but regular maintenance is something that is not only good for the truck but also economical if you do it yourself.

Question: Is there an intermediate maintenance manual that I can buy that tells me how to do this kind of thing.. For example size of socket to use on the oil drain plug. what torque to tighten it back up to etc etc?

I'm not looking for a huge manual that shows how to dismantle the transmission or something! :-)

Interesting question. The operators/owners manual should have the torque for a drain plug and things like that - doubtful they will include the socket size though. You're kinda on your own there.
