1987-1991 f150 headlights

So I've looked and I haven't seen any aftermarket or halo headlights for my 88. They have a few for the 92-96 trucks but I'm guessing those won't fit. Does anyone know of any around?

these are the only ones being made right now. Teaser....87-91 headlights - FSB Forums

Personally I thought I would like them a lot more but so far it just isn't fitting my taste.

$650 is pretty pricey for headlights.

For correctly retrofit headlights it's really not bad actually. That ain't no POS drop in HID kit, that's a legit retrofit with the correct projector. Just parts that's a few hundred bucks.

take some used headlight buckets, cut the lense out, replace with scratch resistant acrylic. morimoto H1 Projectors and shrouds, VVME Hid kit, should be less than $300 right there. Clear corners were $60 last time I checked, but need to be pulled apart and resealed with quality silicone sealant/adhesive.

That sounds about what I would like to do. Did you do this? If so where did you get the acrylic?

Nope, that's just How one would go about it if they were on a budget. With projectors the headlight buckets can have flaking chrome, just sand and spray paint em, the chrome reflector is not used. Most use lexan or acrylic when making lenses, something with UV protection. HIDPlanet has threads on how to custom form your own lenses too. The retrofit source sells those projectors, and most people find cheaper, but decent quality HID kits to use instead of the morimoto brand kits.

Apologies in advance for the rookie questions :
Just wondering if there are many/any aftermarket headlight units to replace my current stock 'Aussie' headlights?
It seems that there are a lot of aftermarket options for 92-96. Now, I appreciate that there are differences between the models, but just how different are the headlight fittings between generations in terms of dimensions and fitment and any other key parameters? Has anyone tweaked their truck (fenders, grille?) to fit, or just gone whole front clip? (Context: F trucks both new and used in Australia are ridiculously over priced e.g. 1996 front clip = $2,500 for parts).
Thanks in advance
