And the hijack continues. We were going to just split it at the center of the bump, but talked with the painter and that is what we came up with. It needed a two tone because the long box step side looks kind of plain unless you do the fender in a two tone, then where do you split it?

The black stripe runs down the middle of the bump, and the red stipe below it is the same size.

On the bright side, Rob, I may be in the market for a grille next year. This year I have a different priority:

I'm so ashamed. I'll never talk about grilles again, I promise.
On another note, I spoke to Harvey from Dennis Carpenter's, they still have nothing to show regarding their 69 reproduced grille. They're no closer now then 1 1/2 years ago. The wait continues.

Maybe I need to look into reproducing these grills? I don't understand what their problem is? Gimme a perfect grill, I'll laser scan it, put it into a 3d model, give that to one of the tooling houses I deal with on a daily basis, and bam! tools for a grill. I deal with this crap on a daily basis with Helicopter components that are way more complex. I know DC probably has the capitol to do this; i wonder if it is the skill set that is setting them back? I wonder if they are worried the cost of the grill will be too high to recover the tooling and developmental costs? Have they eluded to anything?

Might not be enough of a demand to warrant the outlay, and that is a pretty refined skill set. Obviously, you have it. Looking to the future though, the 'bumps' are becoming popular to restore, and retire from old ranch trucks.

Thumbs up

Promises, promises. It's just not so couth in this setting. The good news is that passive aggressive behavior is treatable.

Are you for real? There's no hope for me, go find someone else to analyze, just leave me alone.

The moniker '1loco' says it all for me amigo. And grillman, keep polishing, take care of those grills. They are kind of like your truck's teeth.

BTW, when did the Ranger logo come out on the aluminum grill? My truck has an aluminum grill, but no ranger logo, despite the logo on the glove box. It says Ranger. My truck cab is a '67 though, but I have parts from '67 thru '72 on it..

Saludos to your fine grills

68 and 69 had it Baja.
Side note guys. Recently I heard DC came out with a 40 Ford repro BODY assy. One that Drake had been saying they were in the process of making for a few years. You think DC had to outlay so much cash to Drake that the 69 ranger grilles got put on the back burner?
