1994 f150 302 Question

So today while driving I came to an intersection on a back road and decided to put my foot in it. While taking off everything was fine until I hit about 4500 RPM and the engine started to sputter so I immediately let off the gas and it shifted to second and ran just fine. I have done this before and it has never sputtered or done anything other than just shift like it is supposed to. Oil pan gasket, oil pump, timing change cover gasket and seal, water pump, thermostat, oil pressure sending unit, coolant temperature sending unit, and the radiator have been replaced in the last month and have finished those repairs about 2 weeks ago. I have the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor that I was planning on changing out tomorow. I just haven't ever seen it do this before and was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what it could be.
Thanks

Change out those ignition components then check the fuel pressure for your truck and make sure it looks correct at idle. if it keeps doing it then you should be rigging up a fuel pressure gauge to see if you are losing any pressure when it does that.
