Hey everybody, Wayne from Canada here. I have a 1996 F-250 with a 351 and 5 speed manual with in it, and a 1998 E-350 Van with a 7.3L Diesel automatic. The van is rusting away the the motor is great. How difficult a job is it to swap the 7.3 into my pickup. How long of a job would this be for a experienced mechanic, What extras would I need, motor mounts etc, and should I keep the standard tranny or swap in the automatic.
I know there are probably a thousand variables but any help would be great. Thanks

 

The trans from the 351 won't bolt to the 7.3L, so you can't even consider using it.
