No, it is above the oil pan where the oil settles when the engine is off.

No. What Mac said above. I just waited about an hour after driving to make sure all the oil settled when I did my Facet conversion. Not a drop of oil came out.

Thanks guys. I searched around the forum (and oil burners) for an hour and I never got a straight answer, so rather waste more time, I thought it would be good to ask.
