Always Be Prepared

I realize that this is the RV/towing forum, however always be prepared for disaster. This can happen to any unit at anytime. There is a girl trapped inside. Take the time so your family knows what to do and how to get out in the unlikely event of a fire.

most RV's/5ers/TT have those pop out windows. It is important that all occupants know where they are and how to operate them.

Fire Extinguishers

All coaches also come with <inadequate> fire extinguishers.
While something is better than nothing, it is a good idea to replace them with better quality higher capacity devices.
Also, it never hurts to have a couple of extras.
Just because the manufacturer installs 2 does not mean that is the limit.
Also, be sure to annually (DST day) replace the battery in your
1. Smoke alarm
2. CO2 detector
3. Propane detector
and make sure that they are in good working order.
Also, if you are a smoker, be sure to NEVER smoke IN your coach.
Not only does it significantly reduce resale value, but it is a hazard that you can easily avoid.

Regards,
Steve.</inadequate>

Diesel motorhome with hydraulic pump and tank mounted immediately ahead of front tire on passenger side. Tire blows and takes out system which ignites. Not only almost impossible to work on, but dangerous!
