Towing Heavy with 6.0L Questions

I towed moderate loads with my Excursion and now am towing heavier loads with a work 2015 F250 6.7L (up to 14K) and now am considering a DRW with 6.0L to tow loads from 9K-14K and possibly up to 23K if I get into car hauling and am wondering how feasible is this? What mods are suggested for heavy towing? How does the drivetrain handle it?
Thanks

First thing to consider is the age/miles on the motor.

EGR and oil cooler are problematic on the 6.0 as well as headgaskets.

I would recommend you upgrade the headstuds, EGR delete and bulletproof oil cooler.

It would tow just fine up to about 16-18K. I don't think I would go to 23K with that drive train on a regular basis.

The engine is capable, but as noted you may need to fix the common issues 1st. My BIL has an 04, had all the issues and fixed most under warranty. He recently had the intercooler replaced as it would leak at the end tanks. He has towed a tandem axle dual wheel trailer with a skid steer on it with no issues. He works it off road and loves its power. His issue was that he did not go to 2500 mile oil changes due to the work areas and he had some problems as a result. I dont know where you are located but there are some shops that are reasonable and will fix the 6.0 for around $4K. I had studs new egr (bpr) cooler, new OEM oil cooler installed on my 04 and the tech brought it up to the latest tsb's at the same time. He also put in new head gaskets when he did the studs, cost me just about $4K and well worth it.

The 6.0 is very particular about fuel filter changes. I can tell when I have gotten dirty fuel. It seems to happen when we travel towing fifth wheel as we fuel at truck stops.
