I have the BD kit and have had it for 6 or so years now. It performs well, I never have oil in my CAC tubes or turbo. I like the fact that the oil goes to a catch can, I can drain it easily as its in the passenger fender and every couple years I replace the filter.
The only down side I see to the "kits" is cost. Im sure that all the parts can be purchased separately and some money can be saved, but I wanted it right away and I bought the kit. The other down side is it mounts where your coolant filter mounts.
All in all I think its a great kit, well put together, all the fittings are good quality, the separator can is nice and heavy, and I've never had any problems to speak of.
Hope that helps.

How long has his been like that (on a 6.0 right)
I know that u have to be very careful because this system can create excess pressure easily routing it through Filters/Canisters so right out to Atmosphere is the safest but I don't want a mess or a smell...
Although all (i believe) of the 18-wheelers I've driven Vent to Atmosphere...So

I agree. I just used a 3/4" PVC plug to plug the hole in the CAI and a big long piece of 1" ID heater hose. I took that 90* elbow coming out of the CCV and turned it toward the driver side fender, attach the heater hose to it, and ran it down under the truck and ended it just before the rear axle. Cheapest, easiest mod ever.

Iam glad to hear so many people just run a Hose off it & call it done, with no ill effects even after numerous years...Thanks everyone
Sarge, I'll be honest I always spend a butt-ton of $ on my Truck & I would prefer the BD Kit but considering the $ of it (truck has tapped me out lately) & mostly the fact that I would have no idea what to do w/the Coolant Filter, its sucks that both Kits were designed to mount in the same place
What did u end up doing w/your Coolant Filter

Sorry but this decision is in anticipation of an upcoming event, Iam too busy to get at it right now (but very soon) mostly due to the fact I haven't made up my mind nor do I have the stuff. I get my mind made up & the stuff to do it in advance , have to catch u next time

I've been toying with the idea for a while now too.
I think I would prefer a closed system, but now reading some of these guys that are open, I'm not sure...
Here's a few thoughts too, could easily be made closed or open.

I'm just using these for reference to improve upon, but it seems like it's be pretty inexpensive.

These kits are also good ones.
S3 Oil Catch Can
Used by Corvette, Lotus, Nissian 350Z etc.. 115.00 plus shipping. Plus your clamps and hoses you'd be around 150.00 Much cheaper than Racor 4500 unit. There's can be up to a 3-5 week wait during peak season which is starting now.
Waiting on email conformation for my unit. S3-OCC
