One Hub Locked in 4X4

Hello. I never did this before but could you lock one hub in 2wd and leave the other unlocked. Also can you leave one hub locked while in 4wd? I was thinking if you have one hub locked would all the power would go to that wheel? Or will this do damage?
Thanks

With manual hubs you can do anything you want but you won't accomplish anything positive with only 1 hub locked. It will put more load on the drivetrain and increase fuel consumption and if you do get into a slippery situation all the power going to the front will go to the wheel with the unlocked hub.

Ohh wow haha, well...good thing I didnt try that So it wouldnt even make a difference having one hub locked in 4wd (still would act like 2wd)
