I have the twin I-beem in it now and it scrubs tires fairly bad and instead of rebuilding the front end I'm going to swap a panther front end Into it and maby down the road put a 4.6 drive train into it if the current motor ever goes out its a 4.9 with 52k so it will be a wile I've been looking online and haven't had much luck on finding a build close to my year and don't know what to do with motor mounts and steering and if and how much of a drop in the front end for ride height

Now if the 2015 Mustang IRS fits in the rear, I think I know what I'll be doing to make my truck more athletic.

How close are the 4.9 and 5.0 motor mounts would them work ?? And I figured out how to do the power steering lines but what about the steering shaft to the rack itself ?

It would be a custom job, I'd look at flaming river for the telescopic rods and spline universal.

1 problem I ran into was I wasn't happy with how low it sat at first test fit so I built under the frame 6 inches for ride hight reasons but others with a first gen lightning would probably be OK with it or only do 3 inches under the frame my end result wasrnt to lower the truck that much power steering just take the pressure side fitting off your factory pump and the pressure side on the crown vic from the rack and have a place in town make you a custom line to the length you need the return side just use a 3/8 regular bulk hose and 2 hose clamps brakes need a standard tee and new lines that have a dubble flare on one side and a bubble flare on the other to match the crown vic hoses will need new hoses though that are longer because the truck dosent have a steering lock in the column like the Vic so you get alot more steering outa the rack ( it can turn around scary sharp ) might have to put some type of stop in though to protect stuff later

I will definitely get more pics up once I finish up some small issues that were done to get it running and driving my brake lines aren't long enough their on order for it though and the motor sits too low for the fan shroud so I took it out to drive it home I need to rebuild the motor mounts to get it to sit higher

Crown clip into a 60's ford truck

Hi guys, I'm new to the form and just wanted to add my 2cents on the crown clip idea. I have a 66 f100 with the complete crown intercepted chassis pacakage in it, and I do mean complete! ABS, power brakes, AC, the works! The truck ride and drives just like a crown but it is lighter.

Complete crown Vic engine compartment
