So this is my first post as I have just recently become a ford truck owner. As the title says I have a '78 f-100 with the stock 302. The truck is in overall decent shape and will mostly be used as a weekend driver and occasional hauling stuff but I would like it to have a little more power. The motor has been recently professionally rebuilt but kept stock. What I had in mind and would like some opinions on is what mods would give me the most bang for the buck without going overboard i am thinking of changing the headers as the stock ones are leaking and do a full exhaust as the current one is in pretty bad shape. I was also told to look for a new intake and 4bbl carb and drop a cam in it. New heads is also a possibility and I have been told I can get gt40 heads pretty cheap but I am thinking I will need to spread some of this out over time and was not sure how much of a pain it would be to do it a little at a time and if I would run into any compatibility problems by doing it that way. Any specifics on what parts to look for or where to look would be appreciated as I have worked on many old VW cars but I am brand new to ford trucks. I am sure I will catch a little from that statement.
