ok guys here we go my son has a 67 f100 we had to trailer home as we got to looking at one time there has been a fire under the hood and the harness has been butchered something awful even under the dash ,looks like they tried to splice the harness under the dash but nothing works correctly.not knowing any better until now we found a 72 at a local junk yard and get the harness out of it only to get home and realize this harness is very different is there any realistic way to make this harness work?almost to the point of buying rolls of wire and just remanufacturing a new harness from scratch , we priced a new harness from LMC and its 600 dollars so that isnt an option right now any other suggestions?

They are harder to find everywhere. I'm not sure, but 68-69 might be compatible. I know 70-72 were different.

Anyone????

closest would be the 68-69 since in 70 the cluster went to flexible printed circuit boards.
Also if you have all gauges, make sure you get a harness with all gauges and not idiot lights

Most of the systems one these trucks are fairly simple. If you have any wiring experience you should be able to string your own.

If you want something new, check out Ron Francis Wiring

I am thinking of purchasing on of the wiring harnesses from him.

Brand new and fairly priced. About $360 for a basic harness.

Not bad compared to $600-$800 from competitors.

Thanks, It still has a wood floor under a thick steel plate someone else installed. Looks mostly rotted from what I have seen from underneath. One day I might put it back to wood.
