I was first introduced to "Top Gear" in 2010 while vacationing on the English Isle. I am not a huge TV fan.

I have an appreciation for each of the "presenters" in their own right they each have a particular gift/attribute and at some point I will ask a question that will be revealing.

Bummer they cancelled it I really hope the air the last 3 episodes at least.

 

So, it seems that it is just the season that has been cancelled so far. The show is not yet permanently off the air. However, I am reading that Clarkson has been thinking about calling ti quits for some time now, and with the pending contract renewals, this whole drama may be one of two things, either to go out with a bang, or to prove to the BBC that they all need to be paid more...



I am hoping that it is all to do about nothing and that the boys will be back soon.

On a side note, what was everyone's favorite trip that the guys did? The best car show in the history of car shows. Clarkson makes the show what it is. I even have a vinyl sticker of his big face on the back of my Excursion. Nobody knows who it is, but I think it's cool.

 

OMG! The shows possibly getting canceled?!? I LOVE Top Gear and have watched everything I could get my hands on and some of their books as well

I must live under a rock, never seen the British version. Tried to watch the US version a couple times, but those 3 are morons IMO. Never ceases to amaze me what passes for entertainment. (Bruce Jenner and company, REALLY????)

PS Why would they like diesels?

 

Every "special" that requires a vehicle that can go through the desert, cold, mountains, etc I am always hoping to see one of them role up in an excursion... Although trying to do it in a mustang is a noble attempt Hammond

 

BBC America is the channel in the former colonies.

 

All the American guys do is take good classic cars and destroy them, nothing about entertainment there. Now, the British Top Gear does that too but it is not as blatant as the US show.

 

The BBC version is a car show that allows you to see parts of the world that you never knew about. Those guys have a chemistry that the others can't match. It's the one program I never miss. It always brings a smile to my face.

 

The US version is just 3 Larry the Cable Guys being stupid. I guess the Three Stooges with cars.

 

I very much agree with you. Although, I'm pretty sure Clarkson and the guys would pretty much bust our bubbles with their opinions of our beloved Excursions.
