HELP!!!

I'm stuck can someone help me please... I'm trying to r&r my imrc on the back of the intake manifold and I've got every bolt off and it still doesn't want to budge! What am I doing wrong??? Thanks Rob

I had to use a large screwdriver to pry the IM loose from the IM gasket when I changed the Intake Manifold on my '04 5.4L. I assume you have the water jacket crossover and alternator off - because the IM isn't going to come out of there unless you do.

The vacuum line to the power brake booster is attached WAY DOWN on the rear (drivers side) of the manifold [right about the accelerator peddle], and getting it off and back on is the worst! I replaced the whole vacuum line and attached it to the intake manifold port before installing the manifold.


Also, be careful torqueing bolts on reinstall. There are different torque specs for non-plastic manifolds and I twisted one bolt off on mine. I think the correct torque for the plastic manifold is about 9 lbs.
