Update on the 1963 F100 I got from my neighbor...

I haven't been on the forum in about a month, maybe a little longer. The last time I was on, I was having issues getting fuel to the carb and the taillights weren't working. Well, the weather was pretty nasty this weekend, it was cold and wet, so I decided to spend that time in my neighbor's garage! I put a new fuel pump and filter on it... I cranked it a little, primed the carb, cranked some more and it kicked right over! It ran a little choppy but not bad for a couple of seconds and cleared right up. Took the choke off and the truck ran as smooth as can be! I let the truck run for a little bit and then shut it off so I didn't choke my neighbor out. Sunday I went back and decided to tinker with the lights a bit. The truck started with the first turn of the key! I started messing with some toggle switches that are under the dash, and my brother saw a flicker of the tail lights.. I messed with the switches a little more and the lights came on! However, the lights are really dim and the brake lights were not coming on when I hit the pedal. I am thinking about checking the wiring and since the wiring is pretty hacked to begin with, I might put the proper tail lights on the truck, and run some new wires. I would like to get rid of the switches and have the lights work like they are supposed to. My neighbor is needing to bring his trailer home, so that means the truck will have to be moved within the next couple of weeks. My plan is to get the truck out of the garage, move a few of my projects and hopefully put the truck in my driveway to work on. I hope to fix the lights and have the thing legal within the next month! I am anxiously waiting to pull the truck out, clean it up and snap some better pics of it!
