Spare Tire Lock "T"

I am having a tough time finding the metal "T" shaped piece that is used with a pad lock on the spare tire. It attaches to the J bolt. I think these might have been dealer add ons, or most were lost. My old truck had one, but my new truck doesn't. I can not even find a picture of this part. Does anyone know where I can get one or happen to have one laying around.

I'm guessing nobody ever puts them back on once they've had the pleasure of dropping & reinstalling the spare. No thief in their right mind would go to all that work, lots easier to take one of the other 4. I just twist that j looped piece around sideways & never had a problem.

Why not just make one out of some flat stock. It should take no more than 5 min

I know at least 2 people that have had their spare tire stolen. I don't see why everyone thinks its so difficult to lower these spare tire carriers. Its easy.

I actually was considering doing just that, if I couldn't find one.

Do you have a diagram of how they even go on? I'm curious how it works!
