Having seen the pics now, and considering what a massive amount of work would be required to put a 52 on a 53 frame, I'd say it is much more likely the PO is using the title for a 53 to sell a 52. It is also possible that your state issued titles back then based on Year First Sold, not model year. What is the serial number on the title?

I have the lowering kit ordered from Mid 50 but now put a hold on it today till I figure this out. Honestly I'm a total newbie to this truck. Bought it to fix up, lower and take my kids to local car show. It's got 351,power steering and disc brake conversion so all the hard things in my opinion is done. It's ugly green but a very clean truck. Lol

CV, naw, the Summit and the lower priced columns are made in China. There was an article floating around here put out by the Australian motor vehicle ministry or some such agency (they have banned those columns for use there) that had information on what the issues are with the import columns with pictures of the internals. They deemed the imported ones likely to fail and unsafe for use there and listed those sellers. I thought I had it bookmarked but I couldn't locate it just now. The two manufacturers I remember that passed their testing and are approved for use there there are Ididit and Flaming River.

That would be an R and not a P after the N for assembly plant Norfolk, VA.
The VIN Decoder says that F1R2NR17439:
F1 = F1 Conventional cab
R = 239 8 cylinder
2 = 1952
NR = Norfolk
17439 = Sequential Serial Number
