Power service, diesel kleen

Your figures are what both of mine are Mr. Nick, that is if your converting to gallons!

I put in a 38 gallon rear tank, normal front tank and in between my 5th wheel hitch and tool box I have a 33 gallon tank. So, when full I can carry 90 gallons. I have almost 200K miles on both my PSD's and have used two cycle oil for a long time. They will not mess up the injectors, it helps them if anything. Its sorta a pain to mix and pour in the bottles but I do anyway.

All diesel has some amount of anti gel and there is a formula used for this for the monthly average. I can't remember exactly but it's something along the lines of 8* colder than the average of the 3 coldest days of the month for the area. However if you get an unseasonably cold spell you could have troubles.

Stefan, i ran the Lucas for about 5 years in my 97; didnt really have any outstandingly positive or negitive results..
I do basically the same thing Glenn does now. I mix the white winter or grey summer PS with Amsoil TC-W3 2stroke oil..
BTW Glenn, can you expand on the ratio your using per 19gal? I'm not sure if I follow you.

Do you guys see any mpg increase running these additives?
Last summer I ran Rev-X fuel treatment in my '05 for my yearly trip out of state, that I have made for over 20 years. Real world calculations I gained around 2.5 mpg on the highway without changing my driving habits at all.
It really surprised me it was that much, just wondering if other additives are comparable?

It could have been my calculations, or it could have been a fluke but I swear I picked up about 1.5 MPG on my truck when I started using PS in the tanks. It was when I went and picked it up in GA and drove it home. I didn't put PS in the tanks the first fill up and got 17.5 MPG. The second fill up I added my usual dose and got 18.9 MPG with it. That was all unloaded, highway driving, with the cruise set between 70 and 75 the whole time. Maybe it is circumstantial evidence, but it didn't seem to me like there was a whole of difference in anything else unless I didn't have the tanks full at one fill up.

I'm using a combo of PowerService and 2-cycle ashless oil too. I began doing it when they changed the diesel formula to a "dry" 50ppm sulphur spec. I think my engine needs the added lubrication and injector-cleansing properties after the refining formula change.
My factory tanks are about 18 gallons front, 19 gallons rear. However, I usually need about 15 gallons in each tank when the indicator is on "E". In a pinch, I would run them past the "E" but I haven't been in a pinch, especially after installing a 91 gallon auxiliary fuel tank in the bed.

No and I've run it to zero. I watch my fuel pressure gauge until it starts bouncing and switch tanks. I do that every once in awhile to rid the tank of junk a little at a time. Some always switch tanks at 1/4 but when they are in a pinch and need to use that last little bit, they are getting a lot of junk sucked into their filters all at once. I prefer to do it a little at a time.
