Ooops, sorry, wrong link. This one is 70-10. I didn't read the fine print, just was suggesting the design that I used.

Most of the driving I'm going to do with the truck is counrty roads and small towns within 15 miles or less from home so I guess I could go without one. If I'm going very far I could just through one in the bed. I have AAA, so I could just get it towed home. I'm also going to have an on board compressor so I could carry a plug kit too. Thanks for asking, it never crossed my mind.
Doh!

2x where the Beef!!~~ oh or spare tire.
Having to remove my spare is what keeps me from doing the rear tank install.
Then throw it in the bed or mount it in their. Then have some silly azz steal it or put a knife into it. Just for the hell of it then thinks it's all haha funny.
Under the rear is a pain in the azz to take out from under when you have a flat tire.
But at least it's there.
I'd like to find someone who would built inner frame mounted tank.
Have never found any one who would take the time to fab one up.
Only saddle tanks and those held 7 gals.
I want to keep my truck for general use if, I ever want put another c/o camper on or what ever it is, I'll be able too.
Or the next owner could when my son wants to sell it it won't be for just one use
of just cruising & looking cool or off just roading.
Oh yes what a great shop. Heck I'd trade you my Ex-wife for that wonderful shop.
She was a good cook at that. And was a great nagger also.
And, I'm sure her now husband would be happy just finding her a new place to live even.
So think it over!

I had my son snap a couple of pics with his phone of the filler hose between the bed walls. The short piece of SST tubing is where the 5/8" overflow tube will connect.
That's it for now. The next step is temporarily putting the bed back on to see where the tank needs to be set vertically. I have a a bunch of work to do to the frame so that's it for the tank install for at least a week or two.

Ya, that was kinda what I was thinking after looking at it. Though, with the tailgate down I think it won't be too far of a reach to get to?
Could be worse, my fuel cell is in the center of my bed with the typical bail cap. Back 20 yrs ago I had no problem reaching over to get to it. These days...........well, it's getting tougher . I used to not wear a belt or tuck my shirt in. These days, belts and tucked in shirts. Kinda rough on the bedside paint. Gunno need to revamp it somehow.

Oh yeah, ya gotta have the tailgate down. I'm vertically challenged and with the 6" lift it's not too bad.
I did do some testing.
I still might angle the filler, the more I look at it the more I like it and it would make sticking the nozzle in a little easier. I'm going to have the bed sprayed so I might as well.

I suggest "HUNT" for some kind of kinda hard and tapered rubber. Something that would isolate the filler neck but easy enough to use a hole saw on. Plus,JIC, if the fill hose then rubs on the inner side of the bedside speed tape some piece of soft aluminum to the hose where it would rub. That's what Ford did to the Dent filler hoses where they may or may not have rubbed/laid on the frame.

Too bad you couldn't get it mounted in the lower interior sidewall. Giving you better angle of attack.
Or the corner floor panel. I'm partial to those old flip style caps.

I just used one in a fuel cell I built for my big truck.

Hydraulic supply shops have plastic spiral wrap that can be put around the gas filler hose, to protect the hose from friction and abrasion inside the body panels of the bed.
