Check Craigs List for a used topper. New Leers that cost over $2000 sell for $300 -$500 on Craigs list all day. I know , I paid $2200 and sold it for $300 on one I had. The Ford dealer where i traded in my GMC told me to take the topper off before I came back for my new F150.

Ihave owned lots of pickups with toppers. From aluminum to fiberglass. On my 2007 I had a LEER 100XQ also on my 2009. I didn't know how handy the single handle on the LEER was until I bought a A.R.E. for my 2012. The handle on the A.R.E. is cumbersome and the plastic lip on the door keeps cracking. The front sliding window on the A.R.E. is better than the LEER window. It doesn't look like the handle has been changed and I don't know if the window on the Leer has been changed for the 2015's but my 2015 F150 will have a LEER on it.

Value will not go up. Not a single dealer in my area will leave a topper on a truck. Every one is removed and then truck goes on the lot. Dealers groan when they see a topper come in. Let's face it, these things look geriatric. I love having one, but not going to win any show n' shines with it.

Brilliant minds at work.... Add 230 pounds for better mileage.

I could feel my truck slow down the day I put the topper on. It is that heavy.
You're right on about trade in. However, value is a subjective matter not always measured by money. The cap increases the trucks value to me, not necessarily to anyone else.

I have found on the used market, people do like the topper. At least that was true on my last truck. Was a pretty beat up black topper, and it didn't even match the brown truck, but I had several callers who were very excited about it. I'm convinced the truck sold faster because of it.
That was a private sale and may not have worked as a trade-in however

Just waxed it using Profection

Futon overall

Blue bed lights

I've got a color matched SnugTop with the carpeted interior. I added the front sliding window and single rear latch. The paint matched my blue flame color perfectly, and the carpet matched the Bed Rug I put in. I put a futon in it and it makes a nice cozy bed for road trips...and some blue led's for mood lighting
I think it cost a bit over $3300...can't remember exactly. No problems with it and I've had for about 2 years so far.

I've been looking at these recently too, mainly for my dogs to ride back there on long trips. Do any of yall keep dogs back there and regulate the temperatures? I assume it gets pretty hot during the summer, any way to cool it off while you're going down the road? Or are the window vents the only option?

Don't know where you live but for most places, the window vents should be just fine while you're moving. Just be careful when you park, it can get a little too warm if you don't open the rear window.

thanks all, I to have a wife who dose not like the look of the toppers. So as I sleep way to deeply to just get it and deal with her aftermath. I am going to skip getting one on for my trip in June. after she sees just how much a 120 LBS bulldog roaming the cab for 3 day trip will cramp her style. I will bet her mind will change(I hope) to see my point of view.

I like to keep my heeler in the back, but of course she wants to ride up front with me. The first pic is of a cargo net hanging from a 3/8" rod in my work truck. The second is the barrier I welded up for my personal truck. It worked fine for a while but that smart heeler figured out how to climb over the seat between the head rest and the cab. But I think I'm smarter 'cuz I added a piece of foam for that area and I haven't come back to see her waiting for me in the front seat lately. She doesn't understand that I bought that back seat just for her.

I bought my tonneau cover online. The brand is TFT. It's a folding tonneau cover. Bought it for $250. I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow. I like it because I didn't have a hard time installing it on my truck.

To give you an idea, it looks like this:
