New to me truck

Hello all I am new to the Ford world. I just Bought a 04 Ford f150 5.4 liter. so far all I have had to do was replace the blower motor resister. Now to my question I took off the oil filler cap and noticed some mikly substance therejust on the cap. I double check the oil and it is clean. What could be causing this? I asked a friend of mine and he said it could be the PCV valve but I can not find it on the truck everywhere people online say it is it is not. Am i missing something or just blind LOL. any help would be awesome again I am new to owning a Ford

condensation from short trips, nothing to worry about happens to most cars in cold weather, especially the 5.4V with the long neck for the oil fill.

Ok thanks, Yea the friend told me to replace/check the PCV valve he said that might be the problem. But researching it I just could not find it. I know as long as the oil in the pan is still oil and not mixed like that I know I am good. Is there anything else I should look at or keep an eye on or look into replacing in the truck. I am new to owning a ford so dont know if there are any known things that go wrong or need to be kept up on. thanks again

don't ask me, my truck just got done w/major major repairs at 123k miles and I maintained it perfectly, does engine tick? cam phasers may be starting to go which happened to mine. Also spark plugs are a biatch to change. Truck runs like a top now.

ok here is a new questions. when I take my truck into a high pressure car wash the driver side door leaks would that be a seal around the door. and how do i tell if my 4x4 is engaging my old truck was a floor shifter and i can hear it engaging. but on the new truck i dont hear it but when i turn the wheels when the light is on it is a little tougher or there is resistance in the wheel does that mean it is engaging or is there another way to tell. thanks again in advance
